10-speed automatic transmission

With an advanced new 10-speed automatic transmission, the New Ranger delivers rewarding acceleration as well as outstanding fuel efficiency. It uses real-time adaptive shift-scheduling too, which enables the transmission to effortlessly adapt to changing conditions. So, whether you're cruising on the otorway or tackling difficult off-road terrain, you'll always be in the right gear at the right time.

Advanced systems, including Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keeping Aid, and parking sensors, all increase your awareness and boost your confidence on the road. Whilst Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and Active Park Assist help keep you in control.

Trailer sway control

Trailer Sway Control detects 'snaking' or trailer sway and reduces your vehicle's speed to help solve the problem, making towing controlled. The system slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine's torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.

Ford EcoBlue Engine

Featuring a range of next generation 2.0 -litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the new Ranger is more powerful, more efficient and has lower emissions than ever before. With three powertrains available, offering up to 213 PS of horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, you're guaranteed to find the one for you.

Wading depth

The Ranger goes where lesser vehicles may fear to tread. In fact, with the wading depth 800mm it will prove itself both on dry land and hrough water.

4 WD

To help you to drive with confidence in all conditions and environments, the New Ford Ranger enables you to switch between 4WD and 2WD systems on the fly. So when you're cruising comfortably on smooth roads, you can keep the vehicle in 2WD. But as soon as you want to go off-road or the road conditions deteriorate, you can effortlessly switch into 4WD.

Enhanced active park assist

Active Park Assist can steer you into parking spaces. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system locate a suitable space as you drive past. Then it automatically steers you in, while all you do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals).
